We had Colleen's newborn photos taken (also to stand as our annual family photos). We continue to love the photos that Catrina Carlson Photography captures.

Gift of Spring
We had a lovely second week with Colleen - memorable for the beautiful weather that is uncharacteristic for April here.
Colleen likes seeing books with her siblings
We watched some shows
Pretending train
Granddaddy with skills
Talking with Grandma
We played outside and enjoyed the deck. The water table had its 2016 inaugural usage.
Sleeping beauty
My tulips didn't do so well this year - out of the many that bloomed last year, only two came back. But I don't know anyone who had a good year for them in the area.
Daddy had a little bit of time with all three.
Austin is super affectionate with Colleen. He literally can't walk past her without stopping for a kiss or 'hug' or to poke her.
We had a funny library book that included watermelon so Granddaddy surprised the kids with watermelon slices for a snack.
The county 4H had a little carnival fundraiser that Daddy and Granddaddy took the big kids to.
Daddy was enticed by the warm weather and convinced me to let him start prepping the topsoil for planting.

His helpers just really loved playing in the dirt.
Daddy didn't hold Colleen too much in the first couple of weeks - too many demands for his attention by the big kids. But he did sneak in a few sleeping snuggles.
Multi-tasking Grandma
Just because I love it.
We took Amelia out on a special breakfast date one morning at a diner.
She asked to take a picture of Mommy.
We took Twister outside one afternoon. Why not?
Then we made our own Twister board out of chalk.
At Colleen's 2 week appointment - our petite gal was back up to her birthweight!

Colleen's Visitors
We had some visitors during Colleen's first weeks.
My friend Jen came a few times to bring gifts, two meals and snagged cuddle time.
The Big Brother & Big Sister shirts she brought were a huge hit.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this shirt is worn as soon as it is washed. At least it's easy to find him in a crowd.
Ishita & Rohit came to grab their snuggles.
While we waited for our friends Tami & Adelaide to come by, we set up fun in the garage.
This girl is getting fast!
Tami was due with her second little girl just after me.
