After Christmas morning with Grandma & Granddaddy, we went to Grammie & Pappy's house to celebrate with them.
Amelia and Daddy got matching headlamps for projects
Love these ladies!
Who me? Not sleep? No way.
Yay for borrowed gear to keep him entertained!
Pappy and Amelia received a make-your-own-school-bus-kit as a Christmas gift, along with goggles and a mini-hammer for Amelia. So they headed to Pappy's workshop to build it.

Doesn't mind the pink bumbo at all
Supervising the waffle making
We went bowling - bowling for kids has come a long way! Now they have retractable bumpers instead of the blown-up ones, these nifty ramps for kids to push the balls down and a special set of bowling balls in the back.
Quite entertained by the decor
The air vent was also fun
Once we gave her this adult-sized water cup, we lost her. She had fun bowling, but drinking from this cup was way more exciting. :)
Let's not discuss the final scores. It's enough to say that Patrick and I met our goals to individually break 50 points while Amelia scored higher than both of us. My dad put all of us to shame.
There were crafty projects with Grammie - Amelia even used a large sewing needle to make a felt tree ornament! She did this project while Patrick and I went on a date.
Where do you go for a quick date in Alabama if it's cold outside and the movies go past your bedtime? The Bass Pro Shop of course, for a little wandering and target practice before yummy Mexican food.
We love the South.
We took a quick day-trip to Auburn to see friends. We didn't get photos since we were wrangling, but Amelia was entertained the entire drive home by this Ms Potato Head from Shanda.
Made a quick trip to the McWane Science Center. We were surprised at the toddler activities that Amelia didn't have much interest in, but the exhibits that she really spent time at were unexpected.
They had a special train exhibit and she loved it! Kudos to Patrick for fitting inside the teeny train cars.
She went right up to this large "light brite" and immediately took the pegs out and put them in a line. Cracked us up.
This was by far her favorite exhibit - you could push these "walls" of "sticks" back and forth to create shapes of your hands, feet, faces, etc. She didn't want leave it and was happy having us "clear" the wall and let her make the mold of her hands over and over and over.
Watching Daddy ride the suspended bike.
Big boy sitting up by himself for the first time.
Austin had the outrageous stocking this year.
Amelia even sat still enough for Great Grammie to read to her.
Austin thought Daddy's head lamp was so funny.
Merry Christmas to all! Thanks to our families for taking such great care of us, giving us as many naps and sleep-ins as possible and shipping all those gifts back to New Jersey!
