Austin is taking a high school military airpower history course this fall; it started mid-August. One of his first project assignments was to design, create, and fly a kite. Austin was determined to use supplies around the house; he crafted his kite from branches and a trash bag. Although he had to do some adjustments while on the beach, he quickly got it to fly. We were all so impressed!
She asked for braids one night so that she could have wavy hair the next day.
Setting up her garden as we started Botany.
With more freedom in our schedules, we were able to meet our friends at the Natural History Museum to see the butterfly exhibit before it closed. Austin decided to get some of his pushups in while we waited in line. Logan climbed on his back to make Austin work harder.
After our friends left, we attended a museum event for practicing botanical & animal illustrations.
We're soaking in these summer days before we start our full school load!
