Skyline Drive, Kids' View

Just like last year, we let the kids bring their cameras on the trip to Shenandoah. We confiscated them after the first hike, because they were going to triple our time on the trails with all the 'interesting trees' to remember. But it is fun to see what they were able to record. Amelia was much better with her ability to aim and push the photo button, with small motion. 95% of Austin's photos were complete blurs or carpet/wood/forest ground. But here is what they captured that I'd like to remember:

Two photos from Austin's camera

Rocky view above the clouds on our Little Stony Man hike

Amelia's camera produced these.

The best thing Amelia did with her camera is this video. She is shooting during our bench-lunch on Saturday. She doesn't realize she is shooting the video, but she had been working on how to zoom in and out. There are moments that will give you vertigo, but it is precious that she caught Austin making Colleen laugh over and over and over. This went on for a good while, and we had folks everywhere staring at us
