Colleen's 5th Birthday Week

Patrick took the big kids out on a breakfast hike to a cache down by the river. They had their breakfast bagel sandwiches to eat by the water.

The birthday girl made this giant rainbow out of Aquabeads

Colleen took awhile to decide what she wanted for her birthday treat; she finally decided that she wanted cake & brownies. So we made brownies inside cupcake papers. She had a funny miss on cracking an egg yolk. She wanted pink frosting with pink & gold sprinkles.

We met Faith & Emsley at Rolling Knolls Park for cupcakes on Colleen's birthday afternoon. The kids played & enjoyed the gorgeous weather while celebrating Colleen.

She wanted sushi for her birthday dinner. It disappeared quickly.

This decorate-a-mermaid-box was the first obsession of her birthday week.

Austin had his first baseball practice this week, as well as receiving his uniform.

On Thursday afternoon, we met two sets of friends for an afternoon hike. The 9 kids enjoyed climbing, adventuring & exploring. I didn't take any photos since I was enjoying my time with 2 other moms.

On Friday afternoon, we met Siena & Stephanie at a park to play. We ended up over at a fence rail where the girls pretended to play music from sticks. They were entertained for almost an hour doing this.

Spring daffodils!

Patrick had spent the previous weekend trying to adjust the kids' bikes & finally determined that each kid needed to move up a size. He ordered & built a bike for Amelia, gave Amelia's bike to Austin, & gave Austin's bike to Colleen. The kids were SO excited to have their "new" bikes. We rode down to the 4H-Center to ride laps & let the kids get accustomed to their new rides.
