After playing this at various homes over the last months, he was excited to buy his own.
Austin went to a birthday party for a boy in our co-op. The party was "Bring your sword and nerf gun; come play with them for 3 hours. There will be pizza." Austin said it was one of the best afternoons since we moved to CA.
We haven't gotten tired of afternoons at the beach.
Our co-op has a park playdate every other week all year long. We took photos this particular week of all the moms.

At 11AM they asked, "Can we bike to the beach for lunch?" I had no reason to refuse; we ended up at high tide.

We met new friends at the park; the big kids climbed up these posts. It's amazing to watch their abilities.
