Christmas Lights & Rudolph Performance

Catching up on their advent calendars from Aunt Laura & Uncle Nathan.

Park days are their favorite

During this particular park day, I left Austin & Colleen with the other moms and took Amelia to get her first adult hair cut. We spent a long time with the stylist, discussing how to care for Amelia's teenage hair and her ballet needs. At the end of her cut, the stylist straightened Amelia's hair for fun.

Working on "Name that chemical compound"

When Dad is gone, we figure out how to do things on our own. After watching Mom last year, the kids insisted that they could do much of the Christmas lights.

Our church was putting on a kid's maker's market this week. Amelia had to miss for ballet, but Austin and Colleen were preparing crafts to sell. Austin made giant paper stars for decorating. Colleen decided that she wanted to make plastic canvas ornaments. She worked so hard on them for the few weeks prior to the market. Amelia and Austin helped with some of the finishing touches.

Flan at book club to go with our book of the month

Colleen asked if she could wrap all of this year's calendars.

Mom volunteered during the winter performance of "Rudolph" for ballet and was able to get these side stage photos of Amelia.
