Just before we left for Grandma & Granddaddy's on Mother's Day, Aunt Laura had snuck Amelia away and decorated a sweet card for me - my first from her! When we arrived at Grandma & Granddaddy's on Mother's Day, Grandma had cooked all my favorite foods that she makes (and it's her day too!) and the kids gave me a hand print potholder they made while staying during the previous weekend. What a sweet day it was!
Thank goodness there were two watering cans!
Helping plant the back porch pots
Splashing in puddles during one of the plant waterings
A little neighborhood park visit
Throw in a rock and all the fish come over, looking for food!
On Austin's top three list = bubbles
Teaching Amelia how to hit a ball
Then how to run the bases - she loved it!
Granddaddy & Amelia started this game where he drew items (started with household items and moved into all sorts of machinery) and she would guess what they were. She was obsessed with this game and begged for it. Granddaddy showed so much patience; she could have gone on for hours!
Nighttime books with Granddaddy seemed to always turn into a gigglefest
The pool! Amelia talked about Grandma's pool for days before our trip. And these two fishes couldn't get enough of it.
Post pool attitude
Our cousins came over one afternoon after school and Amelia is still talking about how much fun she had.
Being pulled around by Maddie
More bubbles
Trying to teach Austin how to throw (he is quite capable of chunking any item across a room, but showed suitable ignorance/stagefright at this moment).
Sweaty snuggles
A kids meeting
Love these cousins for being so awesome with our two
My kids now do this daily
Storytime with Aunt Diane and Great Granddaddy
I snuck in a quick visit with friends with a sweet 4 week old!

Pre-bedtime television. Sweet snuggles
Amelia remembered the doctors outfit/kit and asked for it. It did not come off the entire day.
Austin was a little jealous so he was given a white shirt to wear.
Sorting coins with Granddaddy
Visit to Great Granddaddy's - the hassocks were again the main highlight
This photo seems to be a flash forward to the teenage years
Austin demanded Granddaddy's socks for sock puppets
The kids were eager to be measured during this visit. I'm actually always surprised at how many inches they grow in just a few months.
