Papyrus, Playdates & a Warm Front

Austin's last big project from his Egyptian box was to make his own papyrus.  We cut up the brown paper strips, and he dipped them in glue/water and overlapped them to create the "papyrus".

Little sister got her own brown paper and glue project.

These moments

He's been doing so great at Karate!

She asked to pull out her brother's Uno Attack game. We took out all of the "special" cards and just stuck with numbers and colors. It turned into great number practice!

Writing in hieroglyphics "Austin. Colleen. Amelia. Hanks."

A warm front moved through our area. So we went for a beautiful walk, pushing a baby of course.

I found Austin waiting for his friend, Chad, to arrive for a playdate.

Mia came over to play with Amelia at the same time. They asked for a tea party outside.

I have found the secret to a quiet trip to Target.

Amelia was chosen to be a guest reader in the AM Kindergarten class. The Kindergarten teacher sent me these photos.

After school, I surprised the kids with their silly name straws during snack time.

The weather was so gorgeous that they asked to eat their snack on the front step.

Then we played outside from about 330-630. It was glorious. Many neighbors joined us off and on throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

He built a pirate ship. The green frisbee is his sail.
