It was obvious that I wasn't going to get a 12 month photo shoot of Colleen without buckling her in.
Showing some attitude
If only you could have seen and heard the noise behind my head, trying to distract Colleen from pulling off her sticker.

My helpers
This has definitely been the fastest year of my life. Colleen has brought us so much joy with her big smiles and giggles. She's running around, catching up with her siblings and getting into all of their activities. She's signing with gusto, communicating also with grunts and pointing. She has been on a great sleep schedule and still maintains her strong opinions about food (she could live on meat alone). She has started to dance and climb the stairs. She understands when you are trying to distract her from something and is obstinate in her disapproval. She surprises us constantly with her understanding of what's going on around her (collecting hidden Easter eggs without prompting, taking clothes to her dresser, putting books back on the shelves, bringing us diapers when she's dirty, etc). I'm sure the upcoming year will be even faster. We are so blessed!
