VBS Week at our church = no photos by me. But I was given access to the photographer's online album and downloaded all the ones with my kids in them. So here are a few of our time in VBS.
Mom taught a station, and the kids got lugged early and stayed late every day. We all were wiped out during rest time, but as you can tell from the afternoon photos, the kids love VBS and the treats it brings.
Cute photo of Colleen and her friend Leo in my station room. They brought the nursery kids in for a rotation to watch a VeggieTales video. Leo is a smotherer of all friends; and Colleen takes it the best of all.
Week of VBS is also the week of our annual 4H Fair. We went all 3 days to the fair. Day 1 & 3 we waited for Daddy to get home to head over; on Day 2, the kids and I went right after rest time until dinnertime. All of our favorites were there, as well as new exhibits with pigs. We spent more time in the remote controlled cars area, as well as playing with legos in the robotics tent. Austin got to control the giant robot for a few minutes, which was probably the highlight of the fair for him. Daddy got his annual funnel cake, so we call this year's fair a success!
Look! A rocket made out of beach chips!
Austin had a great time trying new tricks with the circus performers.
He begged me to sit on these tractors. They were for-sale by a vendor so I had told him no on the first day. He wore me down on the second day, and I gave him permission to ask the salesman. Since we didn't have any food or drinks, the salesman told him it was just fine. He sat up there a long time and I had to pry him off.
Watching the K-9 demonstration. This is where my kids were introduced to the concept of illegal drugs. It gave us something to talk about on the walk home.
Honey tasting!
